...and it is real big!

The recreation of the Fokker-Flugzeugwerke G.m.b.H. as a special museum

The idea itself is really quite simple. We have in mind to create a special aviation museum that compares to nothing else in the world. Not just a few sheds housing a collection of some aircraft put on display, but a real reproduction of the actual area of the Fokker Flugzeugwerke G.m.b.H. as it existed in the small subcity of Schwerin called Görries, including the airfield where the aircraft could be shown in flight.

Under the ceilings of originally reproduced production sheds not just a simple collection of the various Fokker aircraft will be accumulated, but the actual serial production of the aircraft should be shown in every detail dispalying reproduction  aircraft and original pieces .

For the realization of this dream we almost have everything except for the money.

Needless to tell that the F-T-S also has got the know how and background on historical documentation to assure that the displayed object really will resamble te original pieces.

To realize this dream can not be considered a short or middle term undertaking, but a long term task.

Museumproject - Concept

We are looking for people who would like to invest money into this project, people who are interested in living the dream with us. But not only large amounts are welcome. Even very little donation can help us to start realizing this dream one day. Every donation will be collected on a separate bank account until there has accumulated enough to buy a large area and to start construction.

We even seriously thinking  about establishing an association with that aim to be able to give you a written contribution note.

Some features the museum could have:

• Public airshows to show the aircraft in flight

• An oportunity for visiting pilots to fly these planes

• Workshops for visitors to teach them aircraft construction of that period and to let them work on reproduction aircraft

• The entire archive of the FTS about Fokker on display with access to everybody.
