Robert Bosch A.G, Feuerbach restored
somewhere between 1914 and 1916
early serial No., lare driving wheel of brass
20324
The item was found in the Workshop of a Blacksmith in 1995 by
Achim Engels. There it was used over several decates to ignit the oxy/acethylen welding
torch. It may well be possible that this item originally belonged to Paul Strähle whose
workshops and house was only meters away from the workshop of Mr. Daiß in Schorndorf.
Daiß may have executed some works for him and got the magneto from him as well. The
condition was with respect to its heavy use accordingly bad, but several minor
modifications kept it working. In the following the apparatus was completely cleaned and
restored. For the renewal of missing parts old construction drawings and handling manuals
have been used.
